VPPS

The VPPS (Vertical Pipeline Pushing System) is an innovative and environmentally friendly method for pushing (gas) pipelines into the (soft) ground quickly and inexpensively.
The VPPS is a highly suitable solution for pressing gas and pipelines in new construction, poorly accessible areas and at cover manholes.

How it works
The pipeline is pushed into the (soft) ground in a controlled manner with light equipment.
Ground anchors are placed on either side of the pipe. A yoke is then attached to the pipe. From this, the reaction force needed to push the pipe down is extracted.
The principle is that a number of yokes work together to push the pipe into an s-curve, so that the pipeline can be brought from ground level to the desired depth.
The yokes are connected to the ground anchors and then the s-curve is pushed into the pipe. Once the pipe under the yoke is at depth at the beginning of the process, the yoke is removed from the process and then turned back on at the end in the process. In this way, the pipe can be worked forward in a wave motion until the entire pipeline is at depth.
