Beach pavilion Paal 17 Aan Zee successfully moved 23 meters!
The work of JLD Contracting BV. in cooperation with the other parties:
Underneath the pavilion, team JLD built a steel table to prevent the structure from sagging before the pavilion was disconnected from gas, water, sewer and electricity supplies. The piles were cut for relocation by Meerkerk Wood Construction. Paal 17 Aan Zee could then be completely lifted and moved with the help of two SPMT transport trucks from Mammoet. After which we pulled the old piles out of the ground.
Now that the pavilion is in its new location, Meerkerk is hard at work refurbishing the pavilion so that beachgoers can once again enjoy and relax at Paal 17 Aan Zee starting June 27, 2025.
