FLOATING JETTIES | FISH AUCTION SCHEVENINGEN

The northern Havenhoofd is being renovated. It is a joint plan of the fish cluster, with entrepreneurs from the area, the municipality of The Hague and VolkerWessels Vastgoed. New floating jetties have been realized at the Scheveningen fish auction. The very stable Marinetek All-Concrete Pontoons have been chosen.

Marinetek All-Concrete is designed for docking boats in modern marinas and moorings, its fully and heavily reinforced pontoon units are seaworthy, very strong and maintenance-free with high loading capacity and very long life.

The pontoons are connected by flexible rubber bolted joints, angled and sideways if needed and can create the strongest lake points for large marinas. The models optimize material use to generate an economical but highly durable pontoon for any marina.

The floats are anchored with mooring posts. As with all concrete systems of marinating, All-Concrete Pontoons are of exceptionally strong construction with a life expectancy of 50 years.

Located on the northeast coast of the Island of Phuket, Phuket Yacht Haven can accommodate boats and yachts of all shapes and sizes, but generally the marina is considered a premier port for all categories of superyachts. With the advantages of deep water access and proximity to an airport, it is the largest and busiest marina in the region.

JLD International was asked by the port builder, Marinetek, to help think of solutions to anchor the pontoons on which the superyachts will be moored. Given the enormous forces involved in keeping the superyachts in place in all weather conditions, a unique solution had to be found.

The installation was managed by JLD personnel and went flawlessly. A more than satisfied client has indicated that he sees the use of JLD anchors as an ideal solution for such projects.
