The stretch between Amsterdam and Wijk bij Duurstede involves 120km of sheet piling. Of the 120 km of sheet piling, 25 km is at the end of its technical lifespan. The current sheet pile walls along the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal are 30 to 70 years old. Several measures have been designed to renovate the sheet pile walls. Depending on the status of the sheet pile walls, the best solution is applied. The solutions JLD Contracting has contributed to involve anchoring the completely new structures or anchoring the existing structures and thus extending their life span. The work was carried out largely from a pontoon. Of the 70 sections present, approximately 20 were anchored with JLD Klapankers with lengths of up to 23 meters.
