We have designed, delivered and executed several sheet pile projects in the Netherlands.
There are also various possibilities regarding the accessories, such as finishing with caps, adjustable water permeability through gaskets, filters and a complete weir. SUSTAINABLE
Plastic sheet piles are being used in more and more projects. Contractors usually use steel sheet piles and wooden shoring elements. The plastic sheet piles of JLD International B.V. consist of 98% recycled material and during production up to 90% less C02 isemitted . The plastic sheet pile sections have a life span of at least 50, up to 100 years. The application of plastic is growing rapidly as a result of the low environmental impact and the high durability.
The environmental impact of plastic sheet piles is up to six times smaller than that of steel sheet piles. Thecarbon footprint of plastic is as much as nine times smaller than that of steel sheet piles (Marcinkowski, 2019). The composition of PVC lends itself to it being highly recyclable at the end of its functional life. JLD has joined Circular.
If desired, it is possible to remove the sheet piling from the ground so that it can be returned to a raw material for the production of a material technical similar product.
