What is GEWI - T & TR

T : a hot-rolled, threaded end with 2-sided rolled ribs in the shape of a left-hand thread.
TR: a hot-rolled, with 2-sided rolled ribs in the shape of a right-hand thread.

Which GEWI should you choose: T or TR?

Both types are hot-rolled threaded ends with rolled ribs. The difference lies in the direction of the ribs' rotation and in the steel grade.

Choose GEWI T if you need a standard anchor or ground anchor and the load falls within the T-values.

Choose GEWI TR if you need higher strength per cross-section, for example, for heavier loads or when a smaller diameter is sufficient.

Gewi rods are typically in stock and available in the following lengths: 3, 6, 7.5, 9, 12, and 15 meters. In addition to our standard sizes, longer lengths are also available; please contact us for more information.

Steel grade: 500/620
Tensile strength:
- 12 to 50T : 500MN/mm2 / 550 N/mm2 ≥ 6%.
- 57.5 & 63.6 T : 555N/mm²/700 N/mm²≥ 5%.
- 75T : 500N/mm²/550 N/mm²≥ 5%.
