Waterproofing Sheet Piling

It is possible to execute the sheet piles with a difference in water permeability. When gaskets are placed at the desired location, this ensures a watertight seal there.

The gaskets are applicable to the following types of sheet piles:

V-Type
C-Type

The watertightness of the gaskets in the plastic sheet piles depends on the following factors:

The shape of a gasket, which can extend or reduce the distance traveled by water.
The width of a single plastic sheet pile.
The wider the section, the lower the number of gaskets per unit length of the section, e.g., by replacing 300 mm (width) posts replaced with 606 mm posts, the wall leakage factor is reduced by a factor of two.
The hydrostatic pressure affecting the wall.
The higher the pressure, the lower the chance of clogging gaskets.
The pressure level at the contact area of the gaskets.
The higher the density and pressure on the wall surfaces , the smaller the openings that occur, limiting the flow of water through the lock.
